Phaya Thai Palace (พระราชวังพญาไท) in Bangkok is a small palace built over a hundred years ago in what was once then an area of farm land by a canal. Built originally as a place to escape and relax, during it’s history it has been changed to a hotel, a radio station, a hospital and finally now a museum featuring exhibits from the time of the monarchy back then. It is though, still technically part of the hospital and so you will see nurses and doctors walking through as they make their way to the surrounding medical buildings. The palace can be seen in the picture with one of the medical buildings behind it. Notice the European style spire turret.
