An Einspänner is a Viennese coffee specialty that is essentially two shots of espresso and a lot of thick whipped cream. This particular one is from Coffee Lab in the Hongdae area of Seoul (see the previous post). They put a sprinkling of chocolate powder on the cream and serve it with a cinnamon stick… and yup, it’s delicious.
Coffee Lab is a coffee shop situated in the Hongdae area of Seoul. Their coffee is fantastic; they have extensive expertise as baristas, use various extraction methods, and have coffee beans from multiple sources. All this of course naturally amounts to a menu with a plethora of choices: the standard cappuccino, latte, so on so forth; various custom blends such as their “Mad Scientist” blend; and even liquor based coffee beverages such as Irish Coffee.
